About the Role:
We’re seeking a Senior Video Editor with a sharp eye, creative flair, and strong technical expertise to join our dynamic content team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about storytelling through video, and can take projects from concept to final delivery with minimal supervision. You’ll work on a range of projects including branded content, marketing campaigns, social media videos, interviews, documentaries, ads, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the post-production process from raw footage to final edit, including cutting, color grading, sound design, and graphics.
Collaborate with producers, directors, marketers, and designers to craft compelling stories that align with brand objectives.
Edit long-form and short-form video content for various platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, web, etc.).
Create motion graphics and animations when needed, using tools like After Effects or similar software.
Maintain high creative standards and ensure consistency in visual style, tone, and pacing.
Manage and organize video assets, file naming conventions, project files, and archives.
Stay up-to-date on video trends, editing techniques, and platform best practices.
Provide creative input on scripts, shot selection, and overall storytelling strategy.
Review and mentor junior editors and freelancers when applicable.
Qualifications:
5+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in an agency, studio, or content-driven brand.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, and related editing software.
Strong understanding of video formats, compression techniques, and export settings.
Demonstrated ability to tell compelling stories visually, with excellent pacing and emotional resonance.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with audio editing/mixing tools and basic sound design.
Experience working with graphics and animations.
Knowledge of color grading tools (e.g., Lumetri, DaVinci Resolve) is a plus.
Portfolio or reel showcasing a range of editing styles and high production value.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Experience in motion design or 3D animation.
Background in cinematography or directing.
Familiarity with social media video analytics and performance optimization.
Basic knowledge of camera workflows and on-set production is a plus.
