Job Purpose
To ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate standards in occupational health and safety within Blackstone Medical Services. The role promotes a preventive culture that guarantees the physical and mental well-being of all employees and requires the ability to effectively communicate in English (B2+ level) with national and international teams.
Key Responsibilities
Implement, maintain, and update the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SG-SST) in accordance with current regulations and internal policies.Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures to prevent incidents.Lead training sessions, talks, and health promotion and risk prevention activities.Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on action plans.Investigate incidents, accidents, and occupational illnesses, preparing detailed reports in both English and Spanish.Submit periodic reports to local and headquarters management.Ensure alignment with international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001). Act as the communication bridge between the local team and international stakeholders on safety and health matters.Keep all mandatory SG-SST documentation up to date and coordinate audits.
Candidate Profile
Education
Professional degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.Valid SST license (per local regulations).
Experience
Experience working with international teams is a plus.
Languages
English – B2+ level required (ability to discuss technical topics, draft reports, and present findings in English).
Technical Knowledge
National OH&S legislation.ISO 45001 standards. First aid, ergonomics, and psychosocial risk prevention. Proficiency in reporting tools and safety management software.
